Ashtanga Mix – 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays in November except Nov. 23 in light of special 4:45 class, Yoga for Holiday Stress Relief, which will be the only evening class that day.
Ashtanga Mix is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive, fixed series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. Our studio mix incorporates the Primary Series, Second Series and Third Series linked with a flowing vinyasa, challenging you to maintain ujjayi breath, energy locks, and a soft gaze throughout the dynamic practice. This vigorous, athletic class is open to all levels while intermediate students will be challenged to discover their growing edge. The class is room temperature - perfect for those seeking a physical athletic challenge, without the heat. (60 minute class) Recommended for intermediate and experienced yogis.
